Old Hickory District is hosting its Fall camporee at Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw North Carolina!
 

WHAT IS A CAMPOREE?

A camporee is a local or regional gathering of Scouting units for a period of camping and common activities. It can be a perfect showplace for the Scouting program and therefore, go far beyond just being a gathering of Scouts.

A camporee starts with the recognition that a patrol is the basic camping unit. This event will utilize the Patrol method during all activities.  Over the course of the weekend, Scouts will be challenged to demonstrate their abilities in a variety of Scout skills.  Patrols will engage in friendly competition for a chance to win one of the Old Hickory District awards listed later in this guide.

WHO CAN ATTEND THE CAMPOREE?

Get ready to put your skills to the test at this year’s Fall Camporee, themed Old Hickory Highland Games! Scouts will compete in exciting challenges inspired by traditional Scottish games, teamwork, and outdoor adventure. Gather your patrol, wear your tartan with pride, and join us for a weekend of friendly competition and unforgettable fun!

WHAT IS THE COST FOR THE CAMPOREE?

The cost for all participants is $15 for registered youth and adults up to October 20th, 2025.  Late registration will be $20 for registered youth and adults and will close October 23rd, 2025.  Any registrations after this date must be approved by the Camporee Chairman.
